The closing weekend of the inaugural LGT Wealth Management Australia Cup delivered fantastic on-water battles across both the TP52 Australia and Super 40 fleets, along with the classic Sydney Harbour curveballs — ferries, tankers, other cruising and racing boats, Mother Nature’s full mix of conditions and even dolphins amongst the racing boats on Sunday.

The second Act of the Pallas Capital Gold Cup for the TP52 Australia class took part alongside SailFest from the Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club on 22-23 March. Gordon Ketelbey’s Zen was welcomed back to the fleet as they continued their Admiral’s Cup preparations, showing good form following some recent modifications and the addition of some new faces to the team including Chris Nicholson as Tactician and Tom Addis in Navigation.

The opening Act of the Pallas Capital Gold Cup for the TP52 Australia class as part of the Nautilus Marine Insurance Sydney Harbour Regatta on 1-2 March saw 2024 winner David Doherty’s Matador start their defence in style, winning on both IRC and TPR.
